In yesterdays’ post I promised you a healthy keto marzipan treat and I’m here to deliver.
These cute little pecan marzipan pralines are an all-around perfect treat for the holiday season:
Say what?
Oh yes, you heard right.
And because they’re covered in chocolate they will be good much longer than the actual keto marzipan recipe.
The keto marzipan will dry out rather quickly (after approx. 2-3 days), even if stored in an air-tight container.
So if you’ve found yourself having some leftover keto marzipan and you don’t know what to do with it – this recipe comes to your rescue!
Simply make these chocolate covered marzipan treats and you can enjoy your keto marzipan for up to a week longer than you could have before.
Another great thing about these keto marzipan pralines is that they’re actually full of protein!
With almost 10g of protein per praline (!), they can even replace a protein shake.
Just eat 2-3 of these after your workout and get the same amount of protein that you would get from one serving of a protein shake.
It doesn’t get any better than this.

KETO PECAN MARZIPAN PRALINES INGREDIENTS:
(You can find the exact amounts needed on the recipe card at the end of this post!)
PALEO ADAPTATIONS:
Depending on how strictly paleo you are, you can either choose to use chocolate with a very high cocoa content (because it contains only a small amount of sugar) or use unsweetened baking chocolate (unsweetened baking chocolate contains only cocoa butter & cocoa solids without the sugar).
VEGAN ADAPTATIONS:
If you’re vegan you have to watch out for chocolate that contains milk products like whey.
HOW TO MAKE KETO PECAN MARZIPAN PRALINES:
1. Make the keto marzipan:
Mix the ingredients for the keto marzipan and chill in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes.
2. Form the pralines:
Form the pralines using your hands, a silicone mold or even an ice cube tray.
You can also press the marzipan mass into a cookie scoop or a tablespoon scoop and form the mass that way. (That’s the way I did it.)
3. Melt the chocolate & cover the pralines:
Melt the sugar-free chocolate using a double boiler and add a tsp of coconut oil to the melted chocolate.
Place the marzipan pralines on a baking rack (with a baking tray lined with parchment paper beneath it.)
Pour the melted chocolate over the marzipan pralines. (You can use this video for reference.)
If you want a thicker chocolate layer, repeat this process once the first chocolate layer hardened.
4. Place the pecan half on top:
Press the pecan half into the wet chocolate.
5. Serve:
Place the pralines in the fridge and let chill for approx. 1 hour before enjoying them with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
HOW TO STORE THE PRALINES:
Cover the pralines with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for at least 1 week.

Nutrition Info:
One praline has 1.4g net carbs (3.9g total carbs and 2.5g dietary fiber), 4.1g fat, 9.7g protein, and 100 calories.
Keep in mind that the nutrition info per serving may change depending on the size of the pralines you make. One of the pralines I made weighed approx. 0.7oz (20g).
(I try to be as accurate as possible with this information, but values may vary because of natural occurring fluctuations and different products used.)
