I’m a BIG fan of deviled eggs.
They’re so incredibly easy to make and they fill me up for HOURS.
The combination of high-quality protein and fat satisfies me for a super long time and eating them with my favorite filling also excites my taste buds.
I feel almost guilty making a whole recipe for them because even though they look quite fancy and make great low carb party appetizers – they’re super simple and you only need 3 ingredients + salt & pepper.
Eating eggs on any diet is a great idea, because they’re packed with nutrients!
They are small nutrient power packs – one whole egg contains a small amount of almost all essential nutrients out there.
And obviously, they are perfect for anyone who is on the ketogenic diet or living a low carb lifestyle – eggs contain almost no carbs and my recipe for the filling doesn’t add a lot as well.

GARLIC DEVILED EGGS INGREDIENTS:
(You can find the exact amounts needed in the recipe card at the end of the post)
Told you this recipe is easy!
Most recipes for deviled eggs add extra mustard, but to be honest I’m not a big fan of that.
I think this very basic recipe is just fine and doesn’t need any extra mustard, but if you like the taste – go ahead and add a bit too!
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC DEVILED EGGS:
1. Boil the eggs:
Boil the eggs for approx. 15 minutes until they are fully hardened.
I use an egg cooker to do this and I highly recommend it, especially if you plan on eating low carb for a longer period of time.
2. Wait until your eggs have cooled off:
Wait until your eggs have completely cooled off before proceeding.
You can speed up the process by putting them in a large bowl with cold water. Change the water 2-3 times because it will heat up after a few minutes.
3. Remove the egg yolks and mix them with the remaining ingredients:
Peel the eggs and cut them in half.
Remove the egg yolks – this should be pretty easy by now. Just press the egg slightly and the egg yolk should slide right out.
Collect the egg yolks in a bowl and add the mayo, pressed garlic and seasoning.
Use a hand blender to blend the egg yolks + other ingredients until you get a smooth mass.
4. Fill the egg yolk mixture back into the egg:
I used a frosting bag to do this because, well, I wanted them to look fancy for the pictures.
But you can also just use a spoon and add the filling back into the empty egg whites. (That’s the way I do it when I’m not taking pictures for this blog, haha!)
5. Serve:
Serve with a bit of parsley and enjoy!
*One garlic deviled egg (recipe makes 6) has 0.7g net carbs (0.7g total carbs with 0g dietary fiber), 12.1g of fat, 5.6g protein, and 137 calories.
